Im actively trying to stop talking politics on Facebook, but Im making an exception. Im seeing a ton of statuses shaming Janay Rice for staying with Ray. Ive gotta say, its none of your business. Its sad to see, and, historically, probably not going to end well. But its not any persons place to make her feel worse and to blame her for any future incidents. Its quite likely that he blamed her for his outburst. Maybe in her mind, it was her own fault. Maybe he threatened to hurt himself or made her believe she was in the wrong. Victims should be shown support and given resources to make their own decisions, but we have to stop putting blame on them and place it firmly on the aggressor. nrcdv.org/
