Im an African child, Ive been oppressed by the west, I have deep roots that are hard to remove. Nelson Mandela and others brought political freedom, a freedom of speech and expression yet I still dont see a way through economic emancipation. The wealth of the country is still benefiting the few rather than the marginalized majority with whom many are still struggling to get proper shelter let alone putting food on the table. Political freedom was key to eradicate poverty, crime, corruption, inequality and e.t.c but yet has not done so. Many of our minds are still not free because we view whites as our soul providers. My cry beloved sons and daughters of the soil is for our black led government to make education free at some bigger institutions like Wits. We cannot nationalize the mines without the necessary skills to make those mines productive , we cannot become CEOs if we are not fully equipped with the skills to perform such duties and we have not seen many entrepreneurs because start up capital is a major concern. So cry my beloved Africa as your leaders are busy looting instead of sharing the wealth and resources of your soil. Thomas Sancara the late president Burkina Faso was assassinated for trying to do what I consider to be just and fair, by giving the people what was rightfully theirs. So cry my beloved Africa because your children do not care.
