Im an unguided selfish disease, here upon the surface and seas. Yeah, there. Digging farther, visceral reach, absorbing everything I can see. Yeah, there. Doused and filtered with gasoline. Carved into our new history. Yeah, there. Conscience all but ashes on the floor. Too happy to care anymore. Yeah, care. Far too hungry to care. Billions of years lay down at my feet. All inherited, a gift for me. Ill consume it all, surface and sea. I will force the blade until it bleeds. Bring on Venus, bring on Mars. Bring us to the threshold of wars. I am you and you are me. Purge and devour and leave. You want something? Something amazing? We are fashioned from supernova. We dont have to burn our own mother Earth. Lets move past our adolescence. Surely on this we can agree, my selfish genes.
