Im back from the most amazing trip a man could ask for! 9 days ago I left to go do something Ive never done before and Im back a changed man both spiritually and emotionally. I ventured into the unknown on a 5 day/ 4 night backpacking trip to Rio Grande National Forest in Colorado where myself and 5 other amazing Christian men hiked for 28 miles through the most beautiful landscape that only pictures can describe! We started our hike wading across the Rio Grande River (which is where the river actually starts before heading down south through Texas) then we hiked with 45lb backpacks from a starting elevation of 8,890ft to our peak elevation of 12,180ft! The first 2 days were challenging high altitude accompanied by steep switchbacks while carrying a heavy backpack broke me down to my core then the last 2 days I felt great! Strong and determined to make it back down the mountains.... I wouldnt have made it if wasnt for the best father in law a guy could ask for, William Seward I am so blessed to be married to your beautiful daughter Jaimie!
