Im back on here. Got some random stuff going on. I have a crazy life. Not a bad crazy. Just kind of different from most people. Tammie and I have been through a lot and have just about seen it all. First of all, we have all these kids. They are now all grown and gone except fot Charlee. Each one is totally different. Weve seen some hard times with them, been through some really hilarious stuff with them, been through some real heartbreak and pain with them, you name it. I wouldnt trade places with anyone. Weve been through some crazy things because of me. Only one person I know of would join a bowling league and fall while bowling and knock the largest portion of their brains out. That would, of course, be me. Between me and my kids, you would have to wonder how Tammie got through that mess. I finally got to the point where I could retire! Worked long hours, two jobs at times, and ended up blowing up my elbows, shoulders, and knees. Now I dont have to get up and continue to try to keep up the grind. Believe me, it was getting physically hard to do. I made it though! So, what did I do? Travel the U.S.A.? Buy a bass boat and fish everyday? None of that! I took on our buddy Clint. I get up at five oclock every morning. I get him up. While he is brushing his teeth and shaving, I cook his breakfast. I make him something every morning. Eggs, pancakes, breakfast sandwich, oatmeal, porridge, whatever. Just joking about porridge. Nobody eats that crap anymore. What the hell is porridge? I dont even know. Anyway, while he eats breakfast, I pack his lunch and get some coffee for him. His transportation for work comes and picks him up for his job. So we walk out to the end of the driveway and wait together for them. Now, Im going to start back playing rock music in clubs and bars. A geriatric bass player. You dont see that everyday. Have a full life. Sometimes I really get tired, tired to the bone. I wouldnt give any of this up for any amount of money. I consider myself a lucky guy. I thank God every day for making all of this possible. If you get the chance to retire, take that chance. If I hadnt hung it up, I wouldnt have Clint in my life everyday. I wouldnt be able to pursue this music like I can, and I get to sit and recall all that Ive seen and done. Hope to see all my friends and family on the 16th. Just adding to the memories!
