Im breaking my long hiatus from Facebook to come back and reconnect with you lovely people, because I just cant get enough of your faces. Lakes of Fire was my first burn ever, six years ago, and I havent missed one since. It really is my home burn, the place where I have most learned about what community is and everything it can be. Im so glad to have brought The Huggery with my life partner NillaBear to share epic hugs, playful moments, and smiles with old friends and new faces. Some of those hugs recharged my soul to whole new levels. I was flying high on oxytocin, and thankful for all the participation. Im thankful for all the volunteering, and truly hope that the levels of volunteerism was to a point where we may be able to extend the length of the event--I cant be the only one who felt it flew by way, way too quickly! It almost felt like a blink-and-youll-miss-it whirlwind of awesome. So many camps brought it to new levels, so many things going on everywhere, and I dont think I even scratched the surface of what some camps brought to share. People really brought it hard, and I was so in awe of it all. I guess I just couldnt stay off Facebook when I had to share my love for so many of you. I hope anyone who met me over the course of the event feels free to reach out, and that everyone took some positive life lessons from the event. Im just beside myself in joy over the connections, conversations, and experiences I had at Lakes OFire. I love this community!
