Im buying a house built in 1940 and decided to hit it the front yard for a hour not expecting a whole lot but boy was I wrong!! Let me start off by saying GFE said that most old Victorians with huge yards have been pounded for years and the quaint little yards and unassuming houses are where you will find silver. My very first signal was a 12-44 at 4 and out pops a merc I dug 22 wheaties to go along with a 1927 SLQ, two 1940 mercs, two 1937 buffs, a presidential token and a lead soldier!!!! The front yard is not that big and I only found one clad quarter a 66 and a 64 memorial penny. There was not any trash and very little iron in the ground either. Every coin was between 2 to 4 with most at 2 unreal!!! The back yard is massive!!!!! Ill be busy hunting it when I move in which should be in a couple of months. Im putting on a red tin roof new siding deck and central air. Ty for looking and HH! This was a eye opener for sure and I will be knocking on some unassuming doors in the future!
