Im conflicted about the legalization on marihuana in Colorado. I understand that its created huge business opportunities, while eliminating much of the silly arrests of pot users. Its also sending a strong signal to kids that being stoned somehow now okay. Having been clean and sober for over 21 years, Im not ready to endorse getting high, nor do I wish to see people busted for doing so. I know all too well what getting high and drunk did to me and my peers. Isnt it true that if youre self medicating, youre running away from your feelings, and saying I dont have time for my feelings, so Ill block them out. There have already been negative consequences from this legalization, and there will no doubt be more bad news, while some people make a lot of money selling pot and pot edibles etc. Whats your take on this subject?
