Im curious, did dear Yto sign the GulfLabor.org petition? And if so, how can she take money from an Emirate that follows the same logic? Unless, criticizing artists like Yto or other are naive enough to think that the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi is simply an isolated case, and that building a couple of Emirates on unfair labor can be justified if it is to build Art institutions that offer grants and prizes to artists so that they can in turn do work that will end up in the collections of the same so-called new Arab collectors (since they collect, you see?) who own the companies that employ unfair labor to begin with and rule so-called countries built on the backs of said labor. I think Yto should stick to what she knows best, and just do Morocco.
