Another downside of living in the country...people burning their trash. It smells horrible and it makes me anxious because I have that annoying fear of fire (which had gotten a lot better). When I lived in the country when I was a kid we burnt trash and I had the chore of doing it sometimes so its nothing new to me its just something Ill have to get used to again. Anthony was being a brat tonight which turned into a spanking (he hasnt had one in a while and I had to remind him that he wasnt to big to still get one) then it turned into a long conversation about the things he misses from the house and from his old school and about the changes that he doesnt quite like and isnt used to yet. Thankfully I had my Mom in there to help me put things in perspective for him and explain everything and remind him of things. It was sad at times but I didnt want to cry in front of him again. I was 13 when I went thru the things hes going thru. I was older and could understand it better but it was still hard for me and sad. It took me quite a long time to be completely adjusted then. I hope I can help Anthony adjust faster than I did when I was a kid. I really didnt want to give Anthony a spanking. Ive been trying to consider the things hes going thru and just try to talk to him but I think its about time that he understands that hes not going to get away with the attitude and stuff anymore. I will still try to talk to him before I resort to spanking and then I will talk to him after his spanking.
