Im curious if anyone can help me understand how to handle a situation Ive been enduring for quite some time. As many of you know, I had to take a considerable amount of time off from my business starting back in December of last year in order to travel back east and help my mom get resettled back in Arkansas. Because of this, I have been working like a dog to get back in the saddle and restart my revenue streams, however, Ive hit a little glitch with my cell phone provider. Today, I drove all the way to town to specifically speak with them to get a replacement phone because my old one fell in a creek and has since gone missing and Ive been unable to return phone calls or emails or texts from that number for several days now. (Sidenote: if you have been trying to get in touch with me lately, please understand Im not ignoring you, Im just struggling with technical difficulties at the moment. Thanks for understanding!) For the second time now,I have gone into multiple stores of this particular cell phone provider, and its like pulling teeth just to get acknowledged. Today, I walked in and sat in a chair and started a timer and it actually took over three minutes for ANY of the representatives to even look at me, smile or just give me a howdy. What has happened to common decency? Heres the thing, I dont need them anymore, because we are out of the contract. However, i wanted to continue using their services but we spend over $300 every month for our Internet AND home phone land line AND two cell phones to keep us functioning out here on the ranch and Ive been trying like crazy to just get them to help me so I can continue to have a relationship in their very special network but they seem to be more interested in selling MORE than helping me out. I even spent considerable time on the phone with their customer service department and was startled to discover that my piddly equipment out here on the ranch is quicker and more productive than what this young man had to work with in the call center he was working in. (isnt it crazy that my two-year old equipment is better than a mighty corporations call center?) It sure seems like Im having to do their job for them and Im hoping someone out there can help me figure out...how do you get some results in this sort of situation? I desperately need to get my hands on a new iPhone so I can sync it with my computer at home and actually start setting some appointments and getting work done so I can take care of my wife and my life but I seem to keep hitting these walls when I reach out for some help with this particular company. Is there ANYONE out there who can give me some advice on how to handle this situation so I can start seeing some results? Im all ears o_o
