Im currently working on a three-book series for Permuted Press - TopicsExpress

Im currently working on a three-book series for Permuted Press that has some Lovecraftian overtones, but Im purposely keeping it out of the HPL continuum so I have more freedom with the setting and characters (I also dont like the idea of imposing my own views of the cosmos onto Lovecrafts work, unlike certain authors I could name), With a mind toward all the discussion of HPLs personal views of late I submit the following quotation, among my favorites, in the humble suggestion that like most of us, Lovecraft might in the fullness of time moderated his views, but for his untimely passing. Then again, maybe not, but at least this quotation shows a certain level of understanding and thought that sometimes gets lost in the sometimes heated discussions. Im using this quote as an epigram for the final section of my last novel when the human characters find common cause with the non-humans and work together to face a greater threat: ... poor Old Ones! Scientists to the last - what had they done that we would not have done in their place? God, what intelligence and persistence! What a facing of the incredible, just as those carven kinsmen and forbears had faced things only a little less incredible! Radiates, vegetables, monstrosities, star spawn - whatever they had been, they were men!
