I found a young man sleeping in my back alley this morning. Offered food and drink which he angrily, but not violently, rejected my offer. Stays there all day, sleeping and sitting. I had to chase off 4 young men that were looking at him with an eye to doing him wrong while he slept. Towards the end of the day day I again offered him food and drink...he again screamed and hollered at me to leave him alone...get away from him. At this point I was concerned for this person. I called 911 and explained that this man wasnt at all dangerous or violent, but I raised concern fro his mental health. The police came and did an OUTSTANDING job attending to him and taking him away for evaluation. And what is my neighbor doing? Filming it all on her cell phone.....in case the police do something (harmful) to him! What the F*** has our society come to that it makes someone feel better to try filming someone possibly doing something wrong to someone, rather than taking that energy and trying to help someone! The world is sucking more and more everyday....Thank you to the officers who cared enough to come to this young mans aid......
