Im getting really excited the prospect of owning my first home in 2 years which is the goal. Based on just Mikes current income we would qualify for about a $200,000 home, but Im wanting to stay more in the range of $175,000. Getting a decent house and 4 or 5 acres is possible in that price range if we move to certain areas like a surrounding county near West Knoxville, but still close to Mikes work. We could get a bigger nicer house with less land, but the land is a must because I want to start a business doing organic vegetable and fruit growing and maybe a small blueberry farm (which would take 3 or so years to get started after we moved there). I really can see myself doing that in the future and growing a business. I have a feeling Caleb will be my helper as he gets older because he loves it too. I have no doubt I can do this and succeed. I would love to be able to do this and eventually make some extra money. Ive also thought about starting a catering business as well in the future after we move. What better job than to do what you love and in my case its growing fruits and vegetables and cooking. I may also do the vermicomposting on a large scale and sell worm castings as well. As my two oldest children get older and then go to college I will have more time to be able to devote to a homebased business. I plan to start though within the next 3 years.
