Im glad my dad made me do man things when I was younger. Sure I would have liked to go skating with my friends rather then change U-joints in his pickup truck or change oil in the motorcycles and four wheelers, gut our fish after catching them or clean out our guns but learning these things saved me a lot of time and money in the long run. If we wanted to ride the three wheelers like mad men that was fine. But we would be the ones fixing them after they broke. Things like this are a dying art. Its sad talking to people my age that dont know how to change oil in a car. Soon people wont know how to put gas into a car. I cant wait to teach my son to rebuild a motorcycle engine, weld, shoot guns, fish, hunt, and hopefully not be a helpless human. 😊
