Im going to take a moment and make a very bald statement; everything thats been occurring (mass murdering, raping, beheading, religious ethnic cleansing and even land dominance) against the Assyrians in the tens of thousands that have been killed and countless amounts of genocides and ongoing in the last decade alone in my ancestral lands is a lesson well understood for me. I will not give a history lesson but a quick rundown on what my reality is. I deal with the facts and yet sit here wondering why I shouldnt speak out about the current racial and religious feud that is brewing around us as we speak. Im a realist and I warn you when I say this is only the beginning to Australians, if you believe any good will come from the event that took place yesterday then you are sadly mistaken and in denial especially at the fact that two of the most innocent lives were lost for absolutely nothing, its only a matter of time before the masks fall off, and to any fellow Assyrian reading this will understand that our parents have done all they could to get our generation to seek refuge anywhere safe around the world from all the civil wars and killings against Assyrians for being Christians as well as other agendas. We are very thankful to be even given that opportunity or even a 2nd chance to live our lives peacefully, Its the only place Ive ever lived in to call home. I have so much anger and hatred that the hole inside me just doesnt seem to fill. I believe that I dont have the answers nor do I know everything there is to know to fully comprehend the thoughts that flow inside me. I have every right to be angry and unjust since everything Ive ever witnessed has been unjustified. But Im not going to instill fear in other peoples lives and bring chaos. Our nation has proven that we are better than that time and time again! In saying that I WILL NOT stand in solidarity with everyone and I dont expect anyone to understand.why? My people have suffered by the hands of this plague that exists in this world and their ideologies that spreads like a virus and has been for over a century! Im not blinded by the fact that other nations and religious beliefs have also had their fair share of lives lost in the crossfire nor am I attacking anyones belief or racial background.It saddens me at how quickly we are to forget of the past and be hypocritical and turn against what we once stood for was right. My heart bleeds and has turned cold and someone has to take the blame for it. I stand my ground and will never be accepting of what is unfolding right before my eyes. If you fail to understand what Im expressing my views on exactly then this post isnt for you. History has proven itself more times than any words being exchanged. If you remove the head straight off everything following it will cease to exist. Till then there will never be peace. This is solely my opinion and views and anyone who wishes to disagree or think how narrow minded I may be then that is your entitlement to speak freely however it has no affect on me what so ever...Australia you have been warned! #Assyrian #patrioticpride #proudtobeanaussie
