Im going to throw this out here, and would like as many people to give me feedback as possible. This is spirit week at my grandsons school. He is in first grade. Monday was PJ day, today was Superhero day, Thursday is Crazy hair day and Friday is school colors day...Im fine with all of that, BUT tomorrow is Breast Cancer Awareness day.....with instructions to dress him in pink. For the record, I dont have a problem with pink...except I have nothing that fits him, but its the idea. I just dont think its appropriate for two reasons, one, his age and two , school spirit? it just doesnt fit the theme. Im not sure that Im all to happy with this. I wondering are they planning on talking to them? How would you feel and what, if any, actions would you take? Honestly, the shock still hasnt worn off, nor the bewilderment at just who at an elementary school thought this would make a good spirit day? Is it just me or how would you feel about a 6 year old doing a breast cancer day?
