Im going to use Robin Williams passing to be open and transparent about a very serious hidden mental illness: depression. I suffer from severe anxiety and depression. Awareness is the first step! These are very serious issues, that usually require treatment to keep them from taking over your life. Many people that know me, have no idea I suffer from this. Ive lived with severe anxiety and depression for a long time. It can easily be masked. I am now being treated for it, and live a much more free life. I hope that with something as traumatic and unexpected as Robin Williams death, that more people become aware of how serious depression can be. I ask that you spread awareness and get those that also suffer to seek help, so they no longer have to live in that shadow!
