Im going to write a status every time I get harassed as I think everyone should know just how frequent these incidents occur and I would also like to encourage everyone to do the same because as Sam Smith would say, I know Im not the only one. Today I was standing at the tram stop waiting for the tram when I heard kissing sounds from across the road, I ignored it and just hoped it wasnt what I thought but then they were then followed up with oi!.... oi!... When I finally turned to look, I saw a man across the street walking slowing, staring at me with a filthy grin on his face. There was a part of me that was thinking, no hes not looking at me, I didnt hear what I just heard... So I didnt do anything in response...but I looked around and sadly there was no one else near me and when I looked back he was still leering. I would have flipped him off but he looked more capable than the old man from the tram and I thought its better to be safe than sorry. Why must we be made to feel so uncomfortable for just going about our day-to-day business?! The one positive of these events occurring on my way to the gym is they give me someones face to imagine while Im punching and kicking up a storm in my body combat class!
