Im happiest when I get to collaborate, when Im part of something bigger than myself. I moved in with my amazing friend, Gwen Gottlieb out here in a sleepy corner of Southern California. She wanted to just sit with me and draw. Not having any professional drawing training, she asked for a basic demo. Heres our first session. I set the timer for 12 minutes, and asked her to draw a little boy lost in the forest, scared by something unseen. I took her drawing into photoshop, and we colored it together. (maybe another 40 minutes) I was blown away at the level of emotion and gesture she was able to capture, without any training.
