Im having a hard time starting this, so Im just gonna get right to the point. Heiros played on a bill with Mammoth Indigo at the World Famous Milestone Club (official) last night, and while watching I noticed they didnt have a bass player. That was before guitarist Dan McDonough declared between songs, Ummm... So we dont have a bass player for our month long tour to California... Long story short, does anyone want to play bass? That was paraphrased, as I dont remember verbatim. After their set I went and asked them if I could play bass with them and join their tour, and they embraced the idea with genuine enthusiasm. So Ive spent today arranging my leave. My manager and coworkers at Amelies are very supportive and encouraging, and Ill have a job when I get back. My bandmates, after a few expressions of remorse for losing me for a month, are all clearly happy for me. Cody, Eric, Dan will be picking me up tomorrow in the evening and I will be on the way to California. I would like to thank all of my friends and family for helping make this dream come true for me, and an extra special thanks to The Snakebirds: Laurence Maher (The Carbonari), Garrett Michael Ballard, Kelly Braswell, Sean Flanagan (Heiros) , Michael Henry Robinson, and Dan Royer (Lunar Whale) for playing music with me day and night every day; I have felt your belief in me, you have been indispensable in my development as a musician and human being, and I love you all dearly. And finally thanks to every single person who has ever taken an interest in my work. If anyone is curious here are links to all of my recorded works thus far: - https://soundcloud/adamvaagen - darkmarket.bandcamp/ - reverbnation/mysecretothergirlfriend - thecarbonari.bandcamp/ Thanks! -Adam Vaagen. Coming soon to a city near you.
