Im honor of Veterans Day, I would like to remember my Papaw Toots who is my hero!! This is him pictured with my Mamaw Glessie. Loved these two more then anything and would give anything to spend one more day at their house, playing in the woods with my cousins Charlie Mullins, Toni Hurd, Amanda Stanley and Travis Gibson. All the wonderful times we had and such good food too. Miss her squirrel gravy! Papaw taught me how to fish, hunt and toughened me up as best as he could. They still stay on my mind always but today, he is especially on mind. How I wish Mackenzie could have met them. I miss all the times we all gathered in that small trailer for a good, home cooked meal... Thomas Mullins, Jackie Mullins Cooke, Ferlin Cooke, Melissa Cooke Brooks, Peggy Wampler, Margaret Estep, Sue Minor and also the ones that left us way too early, Donna and Bill. Such good memories from my childhood. Papaw passed a little over 3 months before Mackenzie was born. To all the men and women who are currently of have served our country, thank you for all that you do!
