Im honored to receive a high scorecard from Unshackle Upstate, a bi-partisan coalition of over 80 business and trade organizations representing upwards of 70,000 companies and employing more than 1.5 million people with the goal of making New York a stronger place to do business in. Families are still struggling out there and I will continue to fight for quality jobs and a more business-friendly environment in the Capital Region. As a private-sector employee, I know first-hand how to improve New York’s business climate, and it starts with cutting taxes and eliminating red tape. The relocation of Bausch & Lomb and Remington Arms out of New York are perfect examples of how the Democratic leadership in the Assembly and the Governor’s Office continue to smother high-profile businesses.
