Im honoring, in my opinion, early this morning at 2:55 am on November 22, 2013 . . . as I listen for the 2nd time in 24 hrs., to one of the greatest documentaries, ever . . . 3 of the greatest men that were ever born and ever lived!!! -- One was assassinated on November 22, 1963 . . . another was born on November 22, 1974 . . . and, the other was born exactly 20 years later on November 22, 1994. -- They are respectively . . . President John F. Kennedy . . . Woodrow Dale (Dub) Smith, II . . . and, Colton Hadlock. -- First . . . President Kennedy, the 35th President of the U.S.A., a Catholic President, who against all odds . . . stood-down or backed-down Nikita Khrushchev of the Soviet Union, during the Cuban Missile Crisis in October of 1962 . . . a little over a year before his assassination . . . when it appeared that his great courage to do so would bring about World War III with the worlds first nuclear holocaust . . . acted with such fierce resolve that only a very few of the great Presidents before him . . . Presidents Washington, Lincoln and Roosevelt. - - - President Jack Kennedy, was pronounced dead, officially at 1 pm on 11/22/63. -- The best I remember, I was sitting in the barber chair of a dear friend of mine, Donnye Cooper, in Tupelo, MS . . . where we both were attending PBI (Pentecostal Bible Institute). - - - - The above 2nd date . . . 11/22/74 . . . was the day that my darling wife, Billie Rose Fuller Smith, gave to me, the last of the 3 greatest gifts that she could have ever given to me . . . that of my son: Dub Smith . . . who along with his 2 wonderful sisters: Angela Rose Smith Hadlock and Stephanie Dale Smith Hutton . . . and their mother, Billie . . . have been the greatest joys and delights of my life!!! -- Dub, my Man Child . . . the boy that I thought I would never have . . . came along 11 and 9 years respectively, after his sisters!!! -- Dub, you will never know how constructively proud I have been of you!!!! . . . Last, but certainly not least . . . our dear grandson, Colton Hadlock . . . the son of our daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Kyndall Hadlock . . . who exactly 20 years after his Uncle Dub . . . was also born on November the 22nd in 1994. -- Colton, along with our other 5 grandchildren . . . also, have been the greatest gifts that our children and their spouses could have ever possibly given to Billie and me!!! -- We are especially proud of Colton on this very day, Friday, November 22, 2013, on his 19th birthday . . . who at 7pm this evening in Broken Arrow, OK . . . will be for the 3rd week in a row . . . engaged with his football team in the 6-A High School Football Playoffs in the state of Oklahoma for the state championship. -- Colton and his team . . . The Mustang Broncos, have in the last 2 weeks, been the under-dogs . . . and, have won against all odds. -- In fact, Colton, as a tight end . . . last week, against Norman North . . . caught 12 passes with one of them being a touchdown!!! -- Colton, yall can do it again!!!! -- Go for it!!! -- Will be praying for you that God will help you play the best game that you have ever played in your life!!! -- Love you and Dub dearly, especially on this day because . . . it is respectively, your 19th and 39th birthdays!!!! -- Better believe Uncle Dub, the entire family, a host of friends . . . and the entire school and city of Mustang, OK . . . will be cheering you and all of the Broncos on!!!!!!!! -- Dad and PawPaw Dale
