Im humbled by the number of family and friends that have been so supportive and have prayed for me over the last year and through this recent surgery. Ive had a tough time with pain today but I finally have it under control so I wanted to give you all an update. The surgeon says my procedure went well. He found a lot of scar tissue that he was able to release and my hand is braced and will remain wrapped for the next two weeks until I see him for a recheck. This time Ill be going to physical therapy as soon as I can. Man! It took a bunch of pain meds post up before I was able to go home. Two doses of dilaudid, 1000 milligrams of Tylenol IV, one dose of IV fentanyl, and 2 oxycontin tabs. That finally did it! Lol. The good news is that I didnt need any pain medication from 7 PM until 8 AM. I had excellent care from the minute I walked in the door of the hospital until I left. The nurse anesthetist is my best friend now! She used a tiny bit of local and I didnt feel my IV start at all! svmh girls... Why dont we use lidocaine for our IV starts? I highly recommend the Inn at Oyster Point If you are looking for a place that is very relaxing with a nice view of the Bay and excellent room service. It made the experience much more pleasant. Thank you again for your love and prayers. Im truly blessed to have you all in my life.
