Im starting to see the Wish me Merry Christmas or else messages. I understand the point people are trying to make, but I dont think it is in the spirit of the event. Would Jesus be offended if we wished Him Merry Christmas? After all, He was Jewish. I think He would know if our hearts were in the right place. Then, there are two holidays right in a row. What if one wishes to refer to both? To anyone out there, feel free to give me good wishes in any way you are comfortable: Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, Happy Chanukah, Festive Kwanza, Have a nice day, Its good to see you, Gee your hair smells terrific - I take no offense whatever at an intended kindness, particularly at a time of year that is stressful and lonely for many. I will know and accept that you wish me well. I will be happy for the glad tidings and wish them right back to you in the spirit with which they were given! Let me then, wish you all a peaceful and satisfying upcoming holiday season. My wish for each and every one of you is to have family harmony, health, warmth, good food and companionship and to celebrate this time of year in a wholesome, safe and joyous manner.
