Im in love with Berlin. I took a taxi home from berghain and my driver was a young Persian man, we had the most delightful conversation about Omar khayyam, the sect of the assassins and the old man of the mountain, the Sassanid empire and satiated with the Persian cultural tradition and its language of birds and roses we used that frame to rapidly peruse our squalid modernity and I shared with him the concept of attention whore and we laughed. I didnt want the dialogue to ever end. Naturally, we were smoking cigarettes like two civilized gentlemen during the whole trip.
