Im just going to put this out there: If you dont vote, you dont love your country. Period. Dont tell me this is a choice between two people you dont like or you are disgusted with your government. If you are female, women DIED so that you could vote. If you are African-American, people DIED so you could freely vote. Frankly, every American owes this sacred civic privilege to people having died for it, in the creation of our country. The solution to money influencing politics is this: ONE PERSON EQUALS ONE VOTE. No matter how much money is spent, YOU have the final power. And, as part of that, I would urge every single person to TUNE OUT political ads and instead do your own research and make your own decisions based on facts. So what if neither candidate is perfect, get your ass off the sofa and go vote even if it is the lesser of two evils. That still equals less evil. Not registered? Contact your elections board TODAY and find out whether you can still register or vote provisionally. And if you dont vote, dont even bother complaining about the situation in Washington or in your state. It is pure lack of participation in the lower level elections that has caused political polarization, because moderate, everyday people have abdicated participation in the system. So we get crazy wing-nuts funded by other wing-nuts who are getting elected in primaries, state elections and mid-terms by wing-nuts. JUST DO IT.
