Im just going to throw this out there for the sake of trying to save lives. The lack of people signing up for our foster home program is nothing short of disappointing. When we suspended the program to restructure it back in January, we took a lot from people claiming that animals lives would be at stake during the interim. Fast forward to today and I have only received three applications; two of which were already fostering before. Where are all these people everyone was talking about? We need you. Your community needs you. But above all, these animals need you. Case and point, this girl is sitting in our shelter pregnant and could have puppies any day now. Rescues are full and can not take her. We can not house a mom and puppies until weaned and adoptable; not to mention the risk of disease by simply being in a shelter. She needs YOU. YOU are her only hope. YOU are the only hope for her puppies. She needs a foster home.
