Im just now watching Mega Quake: The hour that shook Japan in 2011. Mag 9.0. I will never forget when my family and I were in the 2nd largest quake ever recorded, 9.2 on Kodiak Island, Alaska on Mar. 28th, 1964. The tsunamis in Japan reached about 10 meters, the Max height for the Alaskan quake reached 67.10 meters!! Over 220 Ft. in Shoup Bay. It had 422 run-ups, areas around the world where the tsunamis reached! Estimated damage in todays dollars, 2.28 Billion! Heck of a memory to have!!
