This is good. "So many in our generation are denying the existence of God. Why you ask? Well for starters, religious figures have taken the extreme measures of authority over this country and this world and used them to their advantage, and not to advance the kingdom of God. Instead of spreading a message of love, as Jesus intended them to, they now (a lot of times) spread a message of intolerance and hate fueled by insecurity. This, my friends, was never Jesus’ intention. Now, i am in no position to call myself highly skilled in theology of any sort, but I DO know who God is and I DO know of his love. Now, there is no denying the fact that God IS a God filled with fire and justice. I firmly believe that if you are a sinner not saved by grace (by choice) then you WILL spend an eternity separated from God in a terrible place. But God does not want this. He wants all of his children to come to him and seek forgiveness. You may say “well if He’s God, then can’t He just end sin altogether and just make everyone do what he wants? If he’s so ‘powerful and mighty’, then why doesn’t he take control of all these terrible things going on?” Well, that would be a very valid point if we weren’t given free will when we were created. God gave us free will, and the choices of our ancestors have put us in a bad position. But this does not mean we’re hopeless. We’re not alone in this. That is the particular reason WHY God sent himself in human form through Jesus, so we can learn of the grace of God. This is also why Jesus died in our place, so we can have the choice of salvation. Let me just say something:GOD DOES NOT HATE YOU.no matter what you’ve done, where you come from, what lifestyle you lead, who you love, what you watch, what you listen to, HE DOES NOT HATE YOU.He may hate WHAT you chose to do, but he does NOT hate YOU as an individual. God is a father looking out for his children. He wants the best for us and he will discipline his children with love just as an earthly parent would their own children. Now, back to the whole religion debacle. Just because a church doesn’t accept you does not reflect the way God feels about you in any way, shape or form. CHURCHES AND OTHER RELIGIOUS DOCTRINES DO NOT REPRESENT GOD HIMSELF. They were created to be a sort of funnel from God to us. A way to bring us closer to a being we otherwise can’t understand. This does not mean that the way some church leaders act/preach is right. This may sound like a contradiction to many of you, and in essence it is. You must remember that church leaders are HUMAN and can not be held to any sort of level that is even close to God’s. This has been twisted throughout history and many of the things done “in the name of God” aren’t even close to God’s will. YOU MUST REMEMBER THAT THESE PEOPLE ARE HUMAN. They are not God. They will not become God. If you have been disrespected by someone of “faith” you must not let this discourage you from getting to know God. Let’s look at it this way:The straight edge movement has members that are violent and gang like, when originally it was created to promote a healthy lifestyle. Does this mean that all straight edge individuals are gang members or hateful and violent? NO. Or we can go even more obvious and take a look at racism. There is still a lot of intolerance when it comes to racism, but does that mean that all white people hate black people, hispanic people, or asian people? NO. people have clouded judgement and hard hearts. Stubborn in their ways, they continue to live lives of hate and intolerance, but this does not mean that every member of a certain race is a racist or has the right to be prejudice. People’s image of christianity these days really saddens me. I guess the only reason I am writing all this down is to show you that not all self proclaimed christians act the way you might think. As a christian myself, I am here to say that I love each and every one of you the way you are and for what you believe, even if i don’t believe the same thing. Maybe if more christians thought this way, there wouldn’t be such a terrible name for them, I don’t know. But i just want all of you to know that there is a God that lives and loves you. You can disregard this entire blog and ignore it and not let it stir your heart, i won’t think any less of you. But i just want you to know that any joy i have felt is completely because of God. When I am hopeless, I find my hope in the promises given to me by my God. No fear, no insecurity, no doubt, no sickness, no disease, no situation will ever take my faith from me, and will never stop our God from doing His work in our lives. If you actually read this entire blog, thank you for being open minded.There is no need for you to feel lost in this world.There is no need for you to let this world defeat you.
