Im looking into healing centers/resorts where I might live and work for awhile (probably 1-3 years while applying and preparing for PhD programs). My criteria are: 1. A healthy and at least moderately sized intentional community, the more emotionally and spiritually real, alive, and functional, the better. Simultaneous respect for differences and boundaries and discernment/sensitivity around healthy and wounded behavior is important to me. 2. A focus on health and wellness, so that theyd be interested in my deep tissue bodywork and my work in transformative psychological, spiritual, and shamanistic processes. Ideally, Id prefer at least half of the work I do to be psychological healing or teaching, or leading workshops, or shamanistic dream journeys, etc - and no more than half to be bodywork. So far Ive looked mainly at Breitenbush, Esalen, and Jackson WellSprings, but Im also open to other countries and continents. Any recommendations from my friends who know the world of healing centers and intentional communities pretty well? Christina Sasser, Marie Roehrich, Jordan Michels, Larry Kaplowitz, other friends?
