Im new to the group. I some how distanced myself from the church and trying to return. Reading the bible is still very confusing to me. I read a few non canonical books which helped me picture what might have been happening during that time in scripture; which, also very inspiring and strengthening my faith. Are there any church regulations regarding reading non canonical books? I am RC and not what so ever intending to leave the church but would appreciate any information regarding reading non canonical books in the RC and EO church.
