Im not a Yankee fan but if you love baseball, you have to be a Derek Jeter fan, regardless of who you root for, not only for the way he has played the game on the field for the past 20 years, but how he has handled himself off it as well. And can you believe the Hollywood ending in his final at bat at Yankee Stadium last night? Fittingly, he won he game with an opposite field single rather than a home run, cuz while he hit plenty of homers during his career, singles and doubles were more his style. Also fittingly perhaps, #2 ends his career in Boston this weekend, the team he has played against more than any other in his career. And I have a feeling that despite the heated rivalry between the Sox and Yankees, the Red Sox fans will give Jeter the farewell he deserves as many do did in this cool Jeter tribute .
