Im not a lawyer... I happen to agree that the President just overstepped his bounds by creating law. He doesnt have the authority. That much is elementary to me. However... The word PARDON is being thrown around quite a bit and something occurred to me that I have not heard a single soul address so far... Ill ask it simply and let you run with it (if Im onto something). What authority does the President have to pardon someone - anyone - who is not a citizen of this country? Does he pardon the act they committed or is he pardoning these people? I didnt see the Mexican President rushing to pardon our Marine? Is it legal to pardon a non-citizen? But, IF hes pardoning the act of entering this country illegally, how does that translate into their authority to stay here because theyre still not legally citizens, are they? If hes making them citizens... whoa! More seems wrong with this fiat than meets the eye... too much wrong with it for anyone to fully grasp just how wrong it is. How wrong am I?
