Im not changing my mind about what kind of primitive rifle I want to buy, but if anyone (with any actual knowledge) has any input I would appreciate it. Im interested in the H&R .444 with a Nikon ProStaff scope. I liked the .444 over the .35 Whelen yesterday. I like the H&R because of the woodgrain - I just do not like the synthetic look on a rifle. And I hear that H&R is a good brand. The Nikon scope has good reviews on the Academy website (all 14 reviewers gave it 5 stars). Im pretty sure Ill need scope mounts, but Ill go to a gunsmith for their opinion on that.
