Im not even sure what to say or type. My daughter Isabella is 8 yrs old. Her first attack of pancreatitis happened at 5. Out of the blue. Doc thought it was a stomach bug at first. Second attack happened March of last year. Now we are dealing with her third attack. We have done all the testing. Genetic study was just sent off. Shes healthy except obviously for her pancreas. We are now going to modify her diet for good and wait for the gene study. We already did a CF test and that was negative. Shes still in the hospital. Lipase so around 4700 down from over 22,000. My girl is so brave and complains very little. What else can I do?? How else can I help her? Im researching non stop but the GI is just now starting to call this chronic. No family history on either side. Her biliary tree is perfect, so is her gallbladder. We caught it pretty early this time. But now I wonder how many times has the random stomach ache been her pancreas. Her pain refers to her belly button for some reason.
