Im not gay, Im straight, so gay marriage doesnt effect my personal - TopicsExpress

Im not gay, Im straight, so gay marriage doesnt effect my personal life. I dont smoke hemp, so this being passed doesnt effect my personal life. Nor have I ever. There for I cannot relate to these matters. However, I would choose a financially stable country that isnt causing businesses to push away employees and cut hours for its employees and/or shut their doors for a health care bill that over 60% of Americans do not support, than have gay marriage and hemp be legal any day. I would give up my right to marriage (straight or gay) and my right to partake in any kind of hemp activity any day to have a fiscally stable economy. Rather it be from a democrat or republican. Sometimes its nice to give up some personal perks to benefit the country as a whole. We should ALL be pitching in, in some way or another to this country. I would hope most people would give up some perks in order to provide someone a job to feed their hungry family. Whats more important, marriage and hemp and such things, or preventing famine? Just a thought. Im not giving my personal opinion on gay marriage or the legalization of hemp. However, some things are being over looked in this country in order to achieve less life threatening agendas. No important matter should be over looked. Even if it isnt important to everyone. But the humans all have and require the same basic needs: food, water, shelter. This is more important than gay marriage or any other perk out there. Lets get our countrys priorities in line, and next time, vote for the one who helps the country keep our needs met, instead of someone who is risking our needs being met to provide perks to people. I dont know anyone who could argue this point. Not a gay person, not a hemp user, not anyone in this planet could give a good argument as to why those things are more important than our needs. By the way I would be saddened and angered if I couldnt be married and I would also fight for it. However needs are needs and perks are perks.
