Im not one for politics. I dont really care that much about it. That being said Im getting pretty annoyed with everyone talking negatively about the president. Now before you go off on me please take a moment to read the rest of this. This is the main part you should understand first; I am not defending the president. My issue with the complaints are based on three things. 1: While Obama is not everyones favorite president, McCain and Romney would not have done any better as President. If it was one of them in office, complaints may be based on completely other decisions and actions but the amount would be the same. (Same stuff different story). 2: While, yes, the president does have a big say in things, the people seem to forget the fact that decisons made for this country are usually some combination of contribution from the president himself, his cabinet, the senate, HOR, and the judicial system. Yet everyone points their finger at the president like its 100% his fault. There is a lot more involved in government made decisions. While many might argue, we arent a monarchy. 3: what many people seem to forget as well is that decisions must be made all the time in the government. And the point Im making is that usually the options that our government have to choose from on these decisions, never make everyone happy. So this results in our government, even the president, being forced to play the we have to pick the lesser of two evils game. Which unfortunately earns them the complaints either way. So let me summarize my point. I am not defending the government. I am not defending the President. I am simply asking that people try to understand that it is a lot deeper and more complicated than the one way or the other situations many people try to make it seem. In fact it is, has and always will be a million layers of gray area. And lastly I would simply suggest that if you feel you honestly have a good idea on what should be happening in this countrys government then why not put it to good use? Facebook posts and ranting all the way to rioting just makes it worse. Get into politics. While it isnt easy, it is still possible for citizens to become the very politicians they wish our current politicians should be. Im not trying to start debate I just wish our countrys people would try to put a little more effort in their own thought process then believing evrything every Dick Wolf out there says. Thats all. I tried to be as neutral as possible. I wrote this in a very calm state so in attempt to not start any arguments, Which I wont take part in.
