Im not popular on a couple of these pages because of my lack of patience, but I do tend to forget that I was a scared recently diagnosed newcomer and looking for advice or anything that would help me understand what was happening and why it was happening so damn fast. But I also tend to not dwell on the past, and look for ways to beat or overcome the problems, hence my impatience. Ive been looking for the digital NxStage operators manual that has been mentioned on this page and several of the other related pages. In my search, I found on BING a NxStage Users Manual address. It appeared to be what I had been looking for. I clicked on it and was taken to what appeared to be a NxStage website. It gave instructions on how to download the instruction manual with alarm codes and the whole 9 yards to my IPad, with a DOWNLOAD NOW button. When I clicked on that button I was taken to a website in England called herplay.net and after reading through the information contained on that page I had four options; enter my credit card and not be charged anything, or pay for one of the three remaining options for movies, music, or whatever. I hit the back button to go back to the NxStage page, and was taken to the herplay.net home page. After several attempts, to get back to NxStage, I bailed out and started over, thinking I had screwed up somehow. My second attempt was a repeat of the first. I then bailed out went back to the BING page and looked real hard to find out what there. I closed out and started reading and got a call from my CU, the one I have my credit card through, I have a fraud watch on my card, they advised me that my card had just been hit for $1.00. Not a large amount, but an unauthorized charge just the same, one I hadnt made. I had been online with these jerks just long enough for them to mine the information I thought was encrypted and secure and beyond the reach of unauthorized use. Boy was I wrong. The people at my credit union advised me that I had been popped for $1.00 and the fraud watch had put it into a pending status, and then while I was on the phone with the credit union the same people tried to hit me for .99 and it was declined. This all took place in the space of 15 to 25 minutes. I killed the card, and Monday Im filing a fraud report against this outfit. Hopefully it can be dealt with by the Feds and Interpol because of the British status of this group. Hopefully a word to the wise... I might be wrong, I kinda hope I am. I really dont think so.
