Im not saying I support GREC or the contract, time will tell - TopicsExpress

Im not saying I support GREC or the contract, time will tell whether it was a good decision or not. Some among us like riding the month to month saw tooth prices in energy so as to assist with their political aspirations. Nathan Skop is one such individual. My fictitious interview with him was based on direct quotes from news articles over the past 7 years. Because he finds it necessary to cast aspersions on current commissioners with the assumption that he himself is somehow blameless, I think a short review of the PSC decision making under his tenure will show why he wasnt asked to serve another term. And no, it wasnt because he was sticking up for the under privileged ratepayers. In 2008, he admitted that the PSC (which he was a part of) was to blame for not taking the requisite time to read a contract involving FPL. Just the following year after making this statement - It could all be profit, Commissioner Nathan Skop said. It all boils down to lack of oversight by this commission, and our failure to review the contract - ironically, he would sign off on a contract that he has spent the past few years complaining about. Not content with being shunned by the voters in his bid for city commission, from the rumors Im now hearing, he was instrumental in drafting Keith Perrys latest proposal to remove GRU from control of the city commission. There are literally dozens of articles illustrating his poor decision making; some costing rate payers billions of dollars without receiving one single kilowatt of power. Making gratuitous claims with such a dismal history is something to be embarrassed of, not something to be held up as a badge of merit.
