Im not sure I support the free parking to residents idea???? During the summer months particularly, I know that the town relays on the income from parking. So if we reduce that income, where will the money come from to replace it? Also another issue to be considered is the fact that by providing a user pay service to everyone but only a few use it.... Then the increase in taxes to cover that cost mean that non users will subsidize users. Isnt the municipal lot around 18th street on dunkeron free through the week? I dont know ??? Just questions for consideration. Equate it to using the ice at the arena. We could make it free for everyone who wants to book it, we would all just have to pay extra taxes thats all. ..... Food for thought.
