Im not sure if I can post this, so if not, please let me know: Just to let everyone know, I hired Affordable Maintenance owned by Vernon Jordan to do work on our home. We were told it would take 2wks. After several lies and holds and paying him $4,000...after my kids being out of my home for over a month because of it...he couldnt/wouldnt complete the job...said he was out of money. My inspector through my mortgage company wouldnt approve his work to release funds because he didnt do most of it! We got him a discount on paint, too, which he took half when he left. Then he stated he couldnt pay the guys that came to help him, because he was broke. He then told my husband he was out Christmas money because of it and maybe we could find someone to do the work with no money up front....that my house was just too much work and he didnt understand the adjusters report...even tho he gave us a bid that showed he did. He did leave behind some of the sheetrock. Lol. He also lost my house key. Found it way later, which we told him to toss it, because we changed our locks. I had been told by my father inlaw who has been a contractor for over 30yrs that the work he took over a month to do shouldve been done in 3days. I cant go to court for it, because hes NOT licensed n bonded like he said. I knew for a while that things werent going right, but felt bad for him because all the issues he told us he was having. I have 6kids and I homeschool. Thank God we were blessed with another company that came in and did the work for NOTHING up front and HALF what he was going to charge! He blocked me so I couldnt tell my story, but I wanted to let people know this before their family is put out, too. His workers seemed like good guys, so I hope they got paid. He most certainly did.
