Im not sure if I introduced you to Greyson yet. He has quite a story and is an extremely lucky kitty! Greyson was brought to a Stevens County Cat Clinic event in May of this year. After an examination, everyone was amazed that he was alive! Greyson had half-healed claw marks on his side and hip, the vet said they most likely came from a large bird of prey, and owl or a hawk who tried to grab this kitty for dinner! One of the birds talons actually went through the skin and muscle and right into Greysons rectum leaving a very large hole. You could quite literally say that the bird tore him a new ***hole! That is exactly what happened. Grayson was actually pooping out this new hole. One of the vets at the clinic operated and closed him up as best she could. Nancy brought him back to the sanctuary to heal and recover and he has been with us for the past 4 months. Greyson just recently underwent his 3rd and final surgery to repair the damage done by the bird, the wound looks very good and he has a very good prognosis. He has to wear his collar for a few more days to keep him from licking, and he hates the collar but hes doing well. Hes going to be ready to list for adoption very soon. :) Inbetween surgeries he can be found hanging out with his friends in one of our kitty rooms.
