Im not very good at keeping this thing updated but here we go. Its been a busy enough Summer between helping to steer Oisín through the Leaving Cert, a smattering of commercial jobs, a couple of weddings and a good few swims down The Bull Wall in Clontarf. I was lucky enough to get away at the end of June to visit my older sister in Vancouver for a few days and then down across the border into Seattle to photograph my cousin Declans wedding to the lovely Amanda - a great 10 days. Im still chipping away at getting the picture framing part of my business up and running properly and Im nearly there. Im grateful to a number of friends who gave me a great start with a bunch of items to frame. I have a new website coming. Its looking fine but far from ready to make public. The building in Drumcondra is now at maximum capacity but it doesnt quite seem like that yet. September will bring more visible change when the place will burst into life properly with several exciting things happening. The coffee shop is opening next week - not at full steam straight away but the place will be filled with the powerful smell of fresh coffee! The Nursery will ring out with the sounds of little kids playing, the church will be in full swing on Saturdays and rooms taken by mysterious new tenants will throw open their doors for Dublin City Culture Night on Friday September 19th - were listed in the Official Program. Ill be offering a free 5x7 Black & White portrait to anyone calling to my Studio on the first floor on the night. There are all kinds of other good things happening around the building - the repair of a lovely old tiled floor, new bathrooms for the Nursery, a permanent weekly Market, a new garden and a proper security system - all in progress.
