Im passionate about politics. Australians are going through a political awakening. Its a good thing. You should care about yourself, others and your countrys future. Its got to be said. Australia, in the 21st Century is turning into an ugly place. The understanding that should frame every political debate is that Left or Right, Abbott apologist or dissenter - we all love our country. The hatred and vitriol from both sides of the current debate are disgusting. Loving your country also means loving its people. Theres no place for hate or vilification in Australia. It diminishes all of us. Argue, resist, fight for your rights but remember - we are all citizens, we are all human beings with fundamental rights and freedoms, based on respect for one another. Its a social contract we spent a century developing. Lets not throw it away on the politics of division. #marchinaugust #notinmyname #beatthebudget #marchaustralia
