Im playing a computer game called FTL, which is like the sci-fi version of Talisman, an old, random, fantasy board game. FTL is a lot like it, except that the universe hates you, or maybe I just suck at it. I have searched for guides to this game, and all of them reference things I wish I could have. Even an article called The FTL Survival Guide discusses getting things like cloaking, Zoltan shields, bombs, and drones. That is not survival, that is luxury. Since I dont have the plans for drones, I sell the ones I find in order to finance things like fuel and ship repair. I want to know how many random, stupid iterations of death (ooh...lets fight in orbit around a star!) I have to suffer before I get anywhere in this damn game, before strategy guides start to actually matter because I actually get to make a choice.
