Im ready to discuss the findings during her operation now I think the shock is over and my understanding is pretty good. We went into the operation thinking Tynzli had her left front suture closed prematurely and that was all! When they got in her head they found it difficult to find bone to build the left side up bc where most 11 mo olds have only soft spot left in front she had an opening pretty far back. Then when they went to the back of her head they found her right lamboid suture fused as well. They were able to partially fix that one by taking some of the bone needed for front from this fusion but they had to leave the bottom 1/2 closed. What does this all mean? It means she may have to do this all over again in 1-2 years same operation only repairing the back. Her surgeon said as long as her cerebellum (bottom part of brain) never pushes through the opening where her spine comes in she should never need another surgery like this one . This is my hope and Im putting my faith once again in the hands of God that shell never ever have a cranial vault ever again. She is bathed and we r loading up she cooed and smiled today. I think were gonna get home tonight or tomorrow depending on how she does.
