Im ready to share some things now about why I quit teaching for the NY board of Education....I was listening to the News and it was reported that reading and math scores are down even more than last year, and that the achievement gap between whites and minorities was widening. This is based on data from standardized tests. While teaching at Harry S Truman High School in the Bronx, I witnessed test scores being altered many times, in order to make them higher, so that our school would get a better grade. This shows that no matter how bad the national testing scores seem, in reality it is much, much worse. Most of the teens I taught had reading levels of less than 3rd grade, functionally illiterate, and are innumerate. This is FRAUD. If anyone wants to do an expose, contact me. Theres more, and worse, common practices in the schools. I want to expose the truth.
