Im really disappointed of France. Its not what I was expecting. My idea of France before coming here was that of a country full of assholes in bad mood all the time only willing to speak French but, instead, Ive found only nice, friendly people willing to speak English and accepting my rudimentary French as good. People in Normandy are so nice that I still dont get used to the idea that Im in France. Besides, Normandy is absolutely beautiful and it is more than the Overlord Beaches and D-Day. The food is excellent, the dairy products are delicious ( see Norman cow in the picture) and they have this wonderful whiskey made out of apples called Calvados (see picture) that is awesome. Not to mention the apple cider and the pommeau, and aperitif also made out of apples. I love Normandy, and I will be back again! If youre planning to come to France any rime in the future, include Normandy in your itinerary, you wont regret it. Well, maybe next week in Paris I will run into some real assholes and I will fulfill my expectations jajajaja...
